Makeup Brush Carrier

This is the first attempt at a craft project using my new sewing machine (THANKS Mom!). A single pair of capri pajama pants is the only other sewing project I've ever put my hand to. That was interesting, to say the least. I took a sewing class with an unusual instructor--I didn't actually finish the class because being told that "buttonholes, I think, are beyond you at this point" didn't sit too well. It's possible that losing one of the legs of my pajama pants midway through the project contributed to the lack of confidence my teacher showed in my skills. I still have no idea how that happened. The outcome was that I had to go and purchase additional fabric to recreate the missing leg and then stitch the two together real quick before I lost anything else! However, I have since discovered that buttonholes are not so difficult and am enjoying trying new project ideas.
