Visiting Yosemite

How I love this place.
And this year it was so special, because we got to take our baby girl.
She won't remember, but I love starting this tradition with her.

We headed into the park very early in the morning and reached Glacier Peak around 7:30 or so. There was no one else up there! It was awesome. That's never happened before--but it was July 5th so we figured that everyone had stayed up late celebrating the 4th...? Who knows why. It was just great to be up there all by ourselves.

There was so much water coming down the falls this year. It was beautiful. Really you could say that about everything in the park. If you've never been, I highly encourage you to take the time, plan a trip, and go!

Every year we walk through the Ahwahnee Hotel. We want to stay there sometime for one of our "bigger" anniversaries. Maybe our 10 year--we'll see. It's pricey!!

We did less hiking and took less photos this year than ever before. The day was way more low-key than any other time we've been there, but it was just nice to be there again and soak up all the beauty.
This was also the 1st time ever that Grace's hair went flat! Sounds silly--but it's usually sticking up straight. Hat head solved this problem and makes her look so different, at least to me. I like her spiky hair!

Right now we're talking about hiking to the top of Upper Yosemite Falls next year. That's one we've yet to do. And someday, I want to take enough time to backpack in. The valley is amazing, but it's only a very small portion of the park. I want to see so much more!

We loved our trip to Yosemite, we went years ago and can't wait to bring our daughter, she is 4 now. You took some beautiful pictures.

We went to Glacier national park in 06, very different but amazing. There we stayed in the many glacier hotel and the prince of whales in Canada, very old but the views were beautiful.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment.
